Dr. Katelynn Baglione
Dr. Katelynn Baglione is a veterinarian with a passion for emergency and critical care medicine, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families during their most critical moments. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, small animal medicine, ultrasonography, endoscopy, soft tissue surgery, exotic animal medicine, and client education.
Originally from Iowa, Dr. Baglione graduated summa cum laude from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Ecology and minors in Animal Science and Leadership Studies. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received advanced training in emergency and critical care through clinical rotations at UF Small Animal Hospital and UF PETS Emergency Hospital, as well as externships with VEG ER for Pets in Charlotte, NC and Verdigris Pet Hospital and Emergency Care in New Bern, NC. She also completed advanced coursework in critical care, hematology, cytodiagnosis, and diagnostic imaging.
Dr. Baglione is committed to veterinary service and outreach, having participated in Project Heal, where she provided free veterinary care to underserved communities in rural Ecuador, assisting with high-volume spay and neuter clinics, preventive care programs, and field-based medicine for both large and small animals.
In addition to her emergency medicine training, she has a strong interest in aquatic and wildlife medicine. Her elective coursework at the University of Florida includes Sea Turtle Medicine, Marine Mammal Medicine, Manatee Health and Conservation, Topics in
Aquatic Animal Medicine, and Diseases of Warm Water Fishes, along with SeaVet Clinical Training in aquatic animal health and conservation medicine.
She is passionate about client communication, mentorship, and veterinary education, and is dedicated to building strong relationships with clients while delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys hiking with her husband and their two dogs, or relaxing at home with a good book and her cat.
