Dr. Luis Dos Santos
Dr. Luis Dos Santos is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist and Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology). He earned his DVM at the Federal University of Uberlândia, his MSc and PhD in cardiac electrophysiology at the Federal University of São Paulo, and completed his internship at Oregon State University and his cardiology residency at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
Since 2021, Dr. Dos Santos has served as Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. He joins Dogwood to lead interventional cardiology at our second location — bringing PDA closure, balloon valvuloplasty, pacemaker implantation, and advanced arrhythmia interventions to Atlanta pet families.
Dr. Dos Santos is currently completing Abbott's Interventional Electrophysiology Ventricular Tachycardia training program, holds a Georgia specialty veterinary license in cardiology, and has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications in veterinary and human cardiology journals.
