Bridgette Wilson

Veterinary Behaviorist

Dr. Bridgette Wilson grew up as a military child and moved frequently, but considers Southern Illinois home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Union University before attending Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

While in veterinary school, she was selected for the U.S. Army’s Health Professions Scholarship Program and commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army’s Veterinary Corps upon graduation. She served as a Veterinary Corps Officer for three years, where her work with Military Working Dogs sparked a deep interest in veterinary behavior and the impact of emotional health on performance and quality of life.

Dr. Wilson is currently a resident in the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB). She is Fear Free Certified and holds the Certificate of Training and Counseling (CTC) from The Academy for Dog Trainers. Her professional interests include generalized anxiety and phobias, feline behavioral medicine, and helping caregivers better understand their pet’s unique personality and behavioral needs.

Dr. Wilson lives with her dog, Dory, and cat, Stinky. When not working, she enjoys running, playing board games, and binging reality TV.
